নাগরিক রিপোর্ট:
পিরোজপুরে বিআরটিসি বাসের শ্রমিকদের সাথে বরিশালের রূপাতলীর বাস শ্রমিকদের মারামারির প্রতিবাদে বরিশাল, ঝালকাঠি ও পিরোজপুর রূটের বাস চলাচল অনির্দিষ্টকালের জন্য বন্ধ করে দিয়েছে শ্রমিকরা। রোববার সকাল থেকে এ কর্মসূচি শুরু হয়। ফলে বরিশাল, ঝালকাঠির অসংখ্য যাত্রীরা বিপাকে পড়েছেন।
ঝালকাঠী মিনিবাস শ্রমিক ইউনিয়নের সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক মো: বাহাদুর জানান, শনিবার সকালে পিরোজপুর ও ভান্ডারিয়া বাসস্ট্যান্ডে যাত্রী ওঠানামাকে কেন্দ্র করে দু’দফায় বিআরটিসি বাসের এজেন্ট ও শ্রমিকরা বরিশাল রুপাতলীর বাস শ্রমিকদের সাথে মারামারিতে জড়িয়ে পড়ে। এক পর্যায় বিআরটিসি বাসের এজেন্ট ও শ্রমিকরা বরিশালের শ্রমিকদের ওপর হামলা চালায়। পরে পুলিশ ঘটনাস্থলে আসলেও বরিশালের শ্রমিকরা ন্যায্য বিচার পায়নি বলে অভিযোগ করা হয়।
এ ঘটনার প্রতিবাদ ও বিচার দাবীতে অনির্দিষ্টকালের জন্য বরিশাল, ঝালকাঠি ও পিরোজপুরের বাস ও মিনিবাসের শ্রমিকরা একযোগে এ ধর্মঘট ডেকেছে। ধর্মঘটের ফলে বরিশাল, পিরোজপুর ও ঝালকাঠির সাথে বাসচলাচল বন্ধ রয়েছে। নগরীর রুপাতলী বাস টার্মিনালে খোজ নিয়ে জানা গেছে, দুরদুরন্ত থেকে আশা পিরোজপুরের যাত্রীরা দুর্ভোগে পড়েছেন।
এব্যপারে বরিশাল জেলা বাস মালিক সমিতির সাধারন সম্পাদক কাওসার হোসেন শিপন বলেন, পিরোজপুর ও ঝালকাঠীর শ্রমিকদের মধ্যে মারামারিতে বেশ কয়েকজন আহত হয়েছে। ওই ঘটনায় ঝালকাঠী এবং পিরোজপুরের বাস মালিক ও শ্রমিক নেতারা রবিবার সকাল থেকে বাস চলাচল বন্ধ রেখেছে। যেকারনে বরিশালেও সকাল থেকে বাস চলাচল বন্ধ রয়েছে।
