বিএনপির যুগ্ন মহাসচিব মজিবর রহমান সরোয়ার বলেছেন, এই সরকারের পদত্যাগ ছাড়া তারা কোন নির্বাচনে যাবে না। সবাইকে প্রস্তুত থাকতে বলে তিনি বলেন, আন্দোন যেদিকে যাবে সেদিকেই আমাদের ঝাপিয়ে পড়তে হবে। বুধবার আসার বাদ নগরের সাধুর বটতলায় বিএনপি চেয়ারপার্সন খালেদা জিয়ার সুস্থতা কামনায় এক দোয়া মোনাজাত অনুষ্ঠানে সরোয়ার এসব কথা বলেন।
এসময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিএনপি নেতা সৈয়দ আহসান কবির হাসান, আব্বাস উদ্দিন বাবলা, সৈয়দ আকবর, আনোয়ারুল হক তারিন, হোসেন চৌধুরী, রফিকুল ইসলাম শাহিন, শহিদ তালুকদার প্রমূখ।
